The Coastal Village of Callala - Overview
Callala Beach is a stunning 5.6 km white sand beach. The Callala township is nice and flat and perfect for guests who enjoy bike-riding, jogging, bush walking and exploring this beautiful part of the world. It’s spectacular for sailing, sunset beach walks, dolphin and whale watching and ideal for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, fishing, and stand up-paddle boarding in crystal-clear turquoise-blue water.
Enjoy the 18-hole Callala golf course, play bowls, do yoga, photography, go for Booderee & Jervis Bay National Park bush walks, there’s sport rock climbing, cycling or simply relax and take in all that coast and country fresh air.
Jervis Bay Marine Park is home to around 100 bottle nose dolphins. During your beach walks it's a nice surprise when a pod of dolphins swim by! There's SO much to see and do in this unspoilt part of Australia and our relaxed luxury accommodation is the ideal space for your family and friends to experience it all from.
Getting Around Callala
A pit stop on the way in to the Shoalhaven is the Nowra Growers Market for your fresh food, meat and seafood - it's a foodies delight. The deli, fresh fruit and veggies are perfect for mouth watering cheese boards to accompany late afternoon drinks on the veranda.
Minutes away are Callala Bay shops. There’s a cafe, supermarket, butcher, Remo’s Bakery (best sausage rolls, finger buns, pies and coffee!), hairdresser, liquor store, chicken takeaway shop, post office, medical centre and pharmacy.
Spoil yourself and your guests with a private dinner party at home to celebrate life! catered for perfectly by Citrus Dining. Put on your favourite music, let your hair down, and with bare-feet dance the night away…
Myola ferry is minutes away in the next village and a fun way to visit the more touristy township of Huskisson.
The popular dolphin cruise is so much fun and takes you to the limestone cliffs at Point Perpendicular. Keen marlin fisherman can head out to the Tubes while visiting Jervis Bay.
Ten minutes by car to nearby Pyree there’s a lovely cafe, restaurant and quaint shops set amongst a dairy farm. The lolly shop is a must visit!
Shoalhaven Zoo & Trees Adventure in North Nowra is a 20 minute drive, lots of family fun situated alongside the Shoalhaven River, get out there and explore! And a little bit of trivia - Did you know the Callala township has no traffic lights? It’s why we call it #Unspoilt ……and it's where the kangaroos can roam free. Enjoy & share the love xo
